Persephone: A Tale of Darker Seattle

This is an urban fantasy told in a four-volume dark, epic thriller style.

Beginning with Persephone Enlightened, this series takes place over the course of a single year, from New Year’s Day to December 31st, in a Seattle that is at once both familiar and strange.

From across the sea, a mysterious ocean liner known as Persephone has come to the Emerald City. Its master, Andre, has defiantly returned to the city he was exiled from, decades ago. The arrival of this renamed sister-ship of the Titanic will surely upset the power structure of Seattle forever.

This dark and epic tale of tangled intrigue revolves around one family; the d’Armor sisters.

Jo d’Armor is an former US Naval officer. Her stand-out career was suspiciously cut short five years ago. Now, she’s come to Seattle in search of her youngest sister, Sasha.

Jo believes Sasha is being held against her will aboard Persephone. She intends to infiltrate the crew and free her little sister, whatever the cost.

Angela, the middle d’Armor sibling, lives with her eccentric boyfriend Wyddershin. Together they run a combination halfway-house/commune/hostel in the Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood.

Angela inherited not only this massive property known as the Warren, but also her family’s magical gifts passed down from her mother and grandmother.

A powerful witch and formidable seer, she leads a coven and fellowship in the neighborhood surrounding the Warren.

As Angela and Jo strive against the hidden power structures that secretly run Seattle, they come to realize that humans in this city are merely unaware pawns– on a chessboard controlled by monsters.

But that won’t stop them from doing what must be done, to save their family and protect the ones they love.
